ABOUT THE PROJECT

A SENSORY JOURNEY

The architectural proposal is based on capturing the movement and fluidity of ink, bringing these qualities into a space where each corner and function reveals layers of meaning and aesthetics. We conceived an environment that invites exploration and gradual discovery, a journey that transforms every experience within the space. Inspired by the history of the location, which once served as an art gallery, we decided to honor its artistic legacy by designing specific areas that preserve the essence of that gallery experience, integrating it into the contemporary culture of tattooing.

In the exhibition area, we showcase works and materials that recall its artistic past and, at the same time, frame the tattoo artists’ work, transforming the studio into a modern gallery that celebrates tattoo art as an extension of creative expression. In the waiting area, we designed exclusive furniture intended to be a visual and conceptual continuation of the space’s overall design. Each piece integrates harmoniously, inviting clients to relax and immerse themselves in the studio’s artistic ambiance.

We included a market area for branded products and items that enhance the user’s experience. The space also includes a design area where artists and clients gather in an atmosphere of creativity and collaboration, exploring and refining ideas and sketches. Finally, the tattoo area, designed with a focus on functionality and aesthetics, becomes the epicenter of the studio—a place where art materializes and is carried out into the world.

To enhance the sensory experience in each area, we incorporated glass surfaces that allow for a sophisticated play with artificial lighting, generating visual effects that accentuate the identity of the space without obstructing natural light. This strategic use of glass creates a perfect balance between transparency and depth, maintaining an open and luminous atmosphere. The lighting, both natural and artificial, transforms the studio into a vibrant and constantly changing space, where light and shadow play a central role, reflecting the dynamism and vibrancy of art in every corner.

Our design is a statement of intent: to capture and convey the essence of an art that flows and evolves, a space that lives and transforms with each stroke and each client. This balance between transparency and depth gives the studio a vibrant, ever-changing character, making it a reflection of the art in constant motion that is created and shared here.
